A Night with Angels (ANWA) is an inspiring overnight experience designed for boys aged 11 and above. This unique event invites young participants to unplug from digital distractions and immerse themselves in a meaningful journey of faith and friendship.
Set in the serene atmosphere of the masjid, the night is packed with engaging activities like open Q&A sessions, thought-provoking discussions, exciting team-building games like football, and enriching spiritual workshops. Participants also have the opportunity to perform prayers, including Salat al-Tahajjud and Salat al-Ishrāq, creating a truly uplifting experience.
A Night With Angels isn’t just an event; it’s a chance to grow, connect, and leave with lasting memories and renewed spiritual strength.
Aims and Objectives
- To enjoy and cherish spending time in the masjid with good company and friends
- To provide the opportunity to easily ask questions and cover the essentials
- To encourage young participants to disconnect from digital distractions and foster mindfulness and presence.
- To provide an environment for spiritual growth and reflection.
Activities
A Night with Angels consists of several activities:
- Informal chats
- Open Q&A session
- Team building activities such as Rubgro & Football
- Pizzas , late night tea, hot chocolate and snacks.
- Spiritual advice & group mentoring
- Workshops on relevant topics to youth kshops
Eligibility
ANWA is open to all boys from the ages of 11 and above. Both students of the centre and non-students are welcome to attend.
Dates & Timings
For accurate information of dates and timings, please have a look at the poster above. Any changes to the date or timing of a session will be announced in advance.
All sessions will take place at MEC.
Mobile Phones
To encourage participation and foster connections, children are not permitted to use their phones during the event. They are encouraged to leave them at home so they can engage fully, build friendships, and make the most of the experience. Phones brought to the event will be collected. In case of emergencies, parents can contact their child through the office phone or mobile phone. The contact number will be provided after registration.
Contributions
In our endeavour to keep costs low so that all children can take part, there is a contribution of £5.00 per attendee. If families need further help with payment, please send an email to info@mecawt.co.uk. Payment is taken online at the time of registration. If parents / guardians wish to contribute extra towards food, snacks & prizes, they can do so by clicking here.
